4 Fever Reducing Tips to Relieve Omicron Symptoms – A number of experts claim that the Omicron variant of Covid-19 causes mild symptoms than other variants, such as Delta. Moreover, it is called similar to the common cold.

This is known to have come from a statement from Dr. Erlina Burhan, Chair of the Infection Working Group of the Association’s Central Management Indonesian Lung Doctor (Pdpi), at a virtual press conference entitled ‘Recent Growth in the Covid-19 Problem’ variant Omicron’, Monday (24/1/2022).

According to him, the symptoms caused by Omicron can include cough, runny nose, stuffy nose, and sometimes it can cause fever in some patients.

“The symptoms are the same (with the common cold) cough, runny nose, stuffy nose, then a runny or runny nose, and also a feeling of indolent, weak, sometimes feverish, this is like the common cold,” said Dr Erlina Burhan.

Talking about fever, there are several ways that can be done to relieve it, not only using medical drugs. This serves to help relieve Omicron symptoms experienced by Covid-19 patients, including Omicron.

1. Stay Hydrated

When you have a fever due to Omicron symptoms, try to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration and help lower body temperature.

2. Consumption of Snacks and Easy to Digest

Consume nutritious and fiber-rich foods to help boost the immune system. The healthier the nutritional intake, the faster the fever will be relieved.

3. Rest

When you have a fever, it is advisable to get enough rest and don’t do a lot of activities. The reason is, the body temperature will be higher if someone does a lot of activity and is tired.

4. Don’t Wear Thick Clothes

Usually when the fever is high, a person will take steps to wear thick clothes and blankets. The reason is to sweat quickly and his body temperature will decrease.

Even though this should not be done because the thick material will actually prevent the heat from coming out of the body. Therefore, it is recommended to wear light clothing and blankets so that the temperature can quickly drop. You can also take a warm bath or compress using a towel to reduce fever.
